Alumni Meeting Monday Evening

September 11, 2023, at 7:00 p.m.

Make sure to enter September 11, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., on your calendar for the Alumni Association meeting. There will be a brief business meeting followed by refreshments and time to gather with fellow Alums.

Home Days Recap...

We had many visitors at this year's Home Days Alumni tent. Through the efforts of many volunteers providing hospitality, Kelly Hatfield's amazing baskets, Tony DiGeronimo providing breakfast for "Breakfast in the Park" at the Kiwanis Pavilion, along with a host of others offering their time and talents, the Alumni Association raised additional money to provide awards to Independence High School graduates!

Mark Your Calendar--Upcoming Meetings & Important Dates

The Alumni Association meets quarterly on the second Monday of the month in March, June, September and November.

Newsletter Submission Deadline for the Winter Spectator is Sunday, November 19th.

Donations and Memorabilia

We are always looking for Memorabilia from your high school years. If you have rings, class photos, and yearbooks particularly from 1926 thru 1928, 1931 thru 1944, 1946 thru 1951, 1992 and 1994, or other related items you would like to donate, please email the Alumni Association at Alumni Association. We'll take memorabilia from any year but those are the years where we're really lacking items!

The Alumni Association Welcomes Donations To Fund our Giving and Support Programs

The Alumni Association was started in 2007 and is dedicated to promoting educational memories, one class at a time. Current active members represent graduates from the Classes of 1942 to 2023.

Annually, the Association Awards two $750.00 Graduating Senior Awards; Presents an Annual Gift to Independence High School from $500.00 to $1,500.00; Supports the Graduating Class Yearbook ($350.00); Recognizes one or more teachers as an "Educator of Excellence."

Our 2023 donation goal is $3,500.00.

You do NOT have to be an IHS graduate to donate. Graduates, parents, friends, and businesses are all welcome!
